Destination: A Teen's Perspective on Pushing Through

The barren land,
deserted,
and the lone traveller,
worked on and on
to pass the difficult terrain
of the sand dunes — trying to break him.
With dust in his eyes,
and no companion, no water, no food,
he has to cross into the world
where trees and water are plenty.
Fueled by the dreams of this land,
he moves on and on
with resilience and courage renewed
each time he dreams.
Throat parched, but the ocean of desire overflowing,
he reaches his destination, finally,
and collapses into a dream once again —
that he has reached his goals, has done what he wished to do,
accomplished what he thirsted for.
And once he wakes, he will find
that what he's achieved is a reward
for every hardship he faced — for his unwavering resilience and courage.
