Empowering the Next Generation of Global Observers
We believe that the world's most pressing issues are best understood through the eyes of those who live them. At The Lens, we don't wait to be given a seat at the table — we build our own. We are a platform run by teenagers, for teenagers and everyone paying attention. Here, young voices don't just observe the world — they interrogate it, challenge it, and refuse to let it stay silent. Because the generation that inherits tomorrow has every right to report on it today.
The Minds Behind the Lens
DIYA SINGHAL
Diya started The Lens because she was tired of being told she was too young to have an opinion worth publishing. A writer, editor, and relentless news follower, she built this platform from scratch — the name, the vision, the voice — with one conviction: that teenage perspectives aren't a footnote; they're the headline.
When she's not editing submissions or obsessing over the site, she's probably reading about politics or arguing that Gen Z understands the world better than most adults give them credit for.
FOUNDER OF THE LENS
EDITOR - IN - CHIEF
CO - FOUNDER OF THE LENS
Harsimar joined The Lens at its very beginning, and in many ways, helped define what it stands for. A sharp thinker with an innate eye for what matters, she has become the quiet anchor of our newsroom and the sounding board behind every major editorial call.
For Harsimar, journalism isn't about passive neutrality—it’s about a braver pursuit of unvarnished honesty. It is a standard she fiercely, lovingly demands of The Lens every day. Without her steady guidance, we wouldn't just be a different publication; we would be a lesser one.
HARSIMAR KAUR
SAUMYA VIJAY
MARKETING HEAD
Saumya is the reason people find The Lens. She thinks about audience the way editors think about words — carefully, strategically, and always with purpose. From campaigns to outreach, she's focused on making sure the work this team produces doesn't just exist on the internet, but actually reaches the people it was written for.
MISHKA TUSHIR
EVENTS HEAD
Mishka believes some conversations are too important to have only online. As Events Head, she creates spaces — both physical and virtual — where teen voices can be heard in real time. She's the person who turns The Lens from a publication into a community, one event at a time.
NAVDHA KAPOOR
Navdha runs The Lens's online presence with the same editorial seriousness the publication brings to its writing. For her, social media isn't about aesthetics — it's about reach, relevance, and making sure every piece we publish finds its audience. She's the connective tissue between the team's work and the world outside.
